SpaceX Super Intelligence (SpaceXSI) has merged three standalone products — X Premium, Grok, and the AI coding platform Cursor — into a single subscription. The new plan, called The X Subscription, was announced on October 12, 2026: it brings together Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium under one plan. The plan is immediately open to new customers and will roll out to all users worldwide within a few days.

One subscription, four components

According to the company's official announcement, The X Subscription combines four components: the AI chatbot Grok, Grok Bot, the AI-powered coding platform Cursor, and X Premium. Until now these products were sold through separate subscriptions — users paid for each one individually; now they are all bundled under a single plan.

SpaceXSI — formerly known as SpaceXAI — has thus gathered its core products around one subscription. With a single payment, a user gets the AI chatbot, the coding platform, and the paid features of X.

New customers can join the plan right away. According to xAI, the plan will open to all users worldwide within a few days.

Each of the four components keeps its place in the plan — only the payment model changes: instead of four separate subscriptions, a single shared plan now applies.

Five tiers: from free to $200 a month

The X Subscription comes in five tiers. The simplest — Free: priced at $0, but with limited features — limited chat and agent functions only. The next step up — Plus: $8 a month. The mid tier — Premium: $30 a month. The higher tiers — Super ($100 a month) and Ultra ($200 a month).

The main difference between tiers is the amount of Grok model usage. That usage is shared between Grok and Cursor: a single shared allowance works across both products. The amount grows sharply with the tier: Premium offers 4x the usage of Plus, Super 15x, and Ultra 50x. In other words, the highest tier delivers dozens of times more model capacity than the cheapest paid tier.

Model access also depends on the tier. Using the latest Grok models requires the Premium tier or higher; the free plan offers only limited chat and agent functions.

The tiers are arranged as a ladder: Plus ($8 a month) — the cheapest paid tier, Premium ($30 a month) — the mid tier, and it's from this tier that the latest Grok models unlock. Super ($100 a month) and Ultra ($200 a month) are aimed at heavy users — their usage allowance is 15 and 50 times that of Plus, respectively.

Premium: a bundle that used to cost $90, now $30

The main appeal of the Premium tier is in the price. According to xAI, the $30-a-month Premium combines the capabilities of three products: SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+. Sold separately, the three used to cost $90 a month in total — so the new bundle costs a third of the previous combined price, a difference of $60 a month. Under the old arrangement, a user paid for the three products separately; under the new arrangement, all three fit into a single $30-a-month tier.

The company claims each new tier delivers more usage per dollar than the old tier it replaces:

Existing subscribers: keep or switch

According to TechCrunch, existing subscribers can choose one of two paths: keep their current plans or switch to the new bundle through billing settings in X. No one is moved over by force — the right to keep the old plan is preserved.

The publication writes that a comparable new tier costs the same or less than their current plan — so a user who currently pays for separate subscriptions won't overpay by switching to the new bundle.
